Teen Photography Contest:
Hawk TowerHistorical Images of Carmel

Calling all Monterey County Teens ... Carmel's public library, the Harrison Memorial Library, is holding its 5th Annual Teen Photo Contest. The theme of the photo contest celebrates Carmel's 100th birthday with Historical Images of Carmel. Teens between the ages of 13 and 18, attending school in Monterey County, may submit one original photo by September 27, 2016. Photos can either be dropped off as an unmatted 8" x 10" print at the Reference Desk at the Main Library on Ocean & Lincoln, or emailed as a jpeg or tif with a minimum of 900 x 720 pixels to: hml.reference@gmail.com.

All entries will be displayed at Carmel's Main Library. Winners will be announced in late October. The People's Choice Award will win a $50 Del Monte Center Gift Card and the Judge's Prize winner will receive a $100 Del Monte Center Gift Card.

Teen Lounge Thursdays, starting Oct 6th

 On the first Thursday of each month from 4-5:30 pm, starting October 6, 2016, we’ll enjoy creative expression in a relaxed atmosphere.  Open Mic, Story Slams, Theatre Games.  Bring your favorite writing.

HelpNow - Online Homework Help

BrainfuseDo you need help with your homework? How about a writing lab to help you write better term papers and reports? Or maybe you need a little extra help with your Spanish homework or with understanding a math concept.

All you need is your library card to use the online tutoring service HelpNow. To get started, click on HelpNow and receive one-on-one help from an expert tutor (available from 1 to 10 pm).

Teen Volunteers

Volunteers are needed to assist staff with fun and easy projects. We want to help you complete those community service hours required for graduation. Please call Beth at 624-7323 if you are interested. Volunteer - it will look great on your college application.
