Friends of Harrison Memorial Library
Friends of Harrison Memorial Library is a
non-profit volunteer organization established in 1972 to provide
support for library activities and help purchase needed books and
equipment.
The major fundraiser of this group is the wonderful
book sale, held for three days during the month of August in Carmel.

THIS YEAR'S SALE:
August 14, 15, & 16, 2008
|
 |
Members of the Friends collect, sort, and price donated
books all year and then hold a sale in August. Close to
10,000 books, paperbacks, and audio and video tapes are
available. The sale is a lively, friendly event in a lovely
setting. The proceeds are donated to the library.
You can donate
books to our Book Sale by dropping them off at Sunset Center (San
Carlos and 10th) on Tuesday mornings between 10:00 and 12:00.
We will also pick your books up. To schedule a pick-up, call
Harriet Harrell at 624-8396. No condensed books, text books,
records, or magazines, please.
In addition
to the fundraiser, the Friends promote awareness of the library in
our community by hosting author programs for the public
and sponsoring a bookmark contest for area youth.
Members of the Friends of the Library receive
announcements of author programs and an invitation to the "Friend's
Preview" for the annual book sale.
Annual dues are $10. To
