Are you aware that the library does not receive any tax dollars to pay for our books, computers and programs? 

All new book purchases are funded through donations to the Carmel Public Library Foundation.  Tax dollars from the City of Carmel-By-The-Sea are allocated to building upkeep and staff salaries.

We welcome suggestions for new titles, although we cannot guarantee their purchase.  Please help by joining the Carmel Public Library Foundation or by making individual contributions.  For more information, click on the "Help Us Buy Books" link below.
