The library subscribes to a fun reading program that you and your child can access from home!  Scholastic BookFlix is an online literacy resource that pairs classic video storybooks from Weston Woods with related nonfiction eBooks from Scholastic to build a love of reading and learning. This engaging resource for children in grades PreK - 3 will help early readers develop and practice essential reading skills and introduces students to a world of knowledge and exploration.

  HelpNow! Online Homework Help

 Do you need help with your homework? How about a writing lab to help you write better  term papers and reports? Or maybe you need a little extra help understanding a math concept. You can even get help with your Spanish homework! 

The library has subscribed to a great new online tutoring service called HelpNow!  All you need is your library card.  To get started, click on the HelpNow link below and receive one-on-one online help from an expert tutor (available from 1 pm to 10 pm):   HelpNow

  Baby and Toddler Storytime
You and your baby or toddler will hear short stories, sing songs, learn fingerplays and rhymes, and have fun! Afterward, we gather at the craft tables to color and socialize! With Mrs. Grace.  For infants to 3 years. Every Wednesday at 10:00 a.m.
  Special Guest Storytimes

We are very fortunate to have Marylee Sunseri and Stephanie Brown of Music Together visit us throughout the year. They are both so talented and entertaining!

Marylee will be with us February 15th, April 18th and May 23rd.
Miss
 Stephanie will be here March 21st.

  Family Craft Time

Join Miss Linda for a fun, creative drop-in  craft or art project one Saturday a month, from 1:30-2:30. This is a program for the entire family.   We will do a different project each month, and all supplies are included!  Check the calendar on this website, or call 624-4664 for more information.

  Arts and Crafts for Ages 9 - 14

Express yourself through art!  We are offering the following drawing and painting classes with Dante Rondo. Programs are free, with all materials supplied.  For ages 9 - 14.

       Acrylic or Water Color Painting Class, Saturday, Feb.11, 10:30am-12:30pm
      Drawing and Composition Class,
Thursday, March 15, 3:15pm-4:45pm
      Acrylic or Water Color Painting Class,
Saturday, April 21, 10:30am-12:30pm

Local artist Dante Rondo has taught art for over 20 years on the Peninsula and has been working as an artist since 1970. A resident of Carmel By The Sea, his early training includes drawing, printmaking, painting, photography, and sculpture.  

And in May, we have a craft program:  Make an Angry Bird on Thursday, May 17 with Miss Pat, 3:15 -4:45 pm

  Teen Volunteers
We are always looking for teen volunteers. Volunteers are needed to assist staff with fun and easy projects. We are very friendly, easy going, and want to help you complete those community service hours required for graduation. Please contact Pat at 646-4664 if you are interested. Volunteer - it will look great on your college application!
