Members of the Friends of Harrison Memorial Library collect, sort,
and price donated books all year and then hold a sale in August. Close
to 10,000 books, paperbacks, and audio and video tapes are available.
The sale is a lively, friendly event in a lovely setting. The proceeds
are donated to the library.

You can donate books to our Book Sale by dropping them off at Sunset
Center (San Carlos and 10th) on Tuesday mornings between 10:00 and
12:00. We will also pick your books up. To schedule a pick-up, call Ann
Rurka at 625-3418. No condensed books, text books, records, or
magazines, please.
The Friends of Harrison Memorial Library have also established an
addition to their annual August book sale at the Heritage Society’s
First Murphy House. A wide variety of donated, gently read books are for
sale. The proceeds go to the library for the purchase of new books and
materials.
The First Murphy House is open Fridays and Saturdays, 1 to 4 p.m.
Knowledgeable docents are ready to share information about early Carmel.
